  • HISTORY ASPECTS:
  • The Alvis FV622 Stalwart Mk.2 is a remarkable example of British military engineering, designed as an amphibious, high-mobility logistics vehicle capable of transporting troops, supplies, and equipment across the most challenging terrains. Featuring a unique fully articulated six-wheel drive system and watertight hull, the Stalwart Mk.2 could traverse deep mud, rivers, and swamps with ease, making it a vital asset for logistical operations in both peacetime and combat scenarios. Its versatility and robust design made it one of the most recognizable and dependable vehicles in the British Army’s fleet.
  • Throughout its service life, the Stalwart Mk.2 was deployed in a variety of operations, including Cold War-era exercises and overseas deployments where its amphibious capabilities were critical. It supported both training and operational missions, providing transport for essential supplies, bridging logistical gaps, and facilitating rapid mobility in areas inaccessible to conventional trucks. Its rugged construction and all-terrain performance ensured that units could maintain supply lines under adverse conditions, often in areas where other vehicles would become bogged down or immobilized.
  • Beyond its operational use, the Stalwart Mk.2 became a symbol of innovation in military transport vehicles. Its combination of amphibious capability, load capacity, and off-road performance influenced later designs in military logistics and reinforced the importance of specialized vehicles for modern armed forces. Even after retirement from active service, the Stalwart Mk.2 remains a respected engineering achievement and a favorite among military vehicle enthusiasts.
  • This 1:35 scale model captures the rugged charm and functional design of the original vehicle, complete with detailed wheels, articulated suspension, and watertight hull features, offering collectors and modelers a chance to own a miniature representation of this iconic military workhorse.
